    • One of my biggest foes with distance running is that I take my long-runs too fast. Make sure you are at a nice conversational pace and do not concentrate too much on speed work for your first one. Watch your nutrition and find out what works for you regarding that–for example I cannot eat a lot of fiber (fruits, veggies, whole wheat) nearing any long runs or races or I get major tummy troubles! Stay hydrated and HAVE FUN!!! Good luck–what half are you prepping for?!
