Here it comes. I can feel it. The taper tantrum. Yep, I am one of those girls. I cannot rest. Right when I think I am too exhausted to run another double digit long run. Right when I think my training will never end. It does. And then I get annoyed.
Doesn’t it always seem like the taper just plain, sucks? Mostly I think that is due to the fact that you really HAVE to stop running so much. It isn’t because you necessarily want to. It is because the running gods are forcing you to. Because if you don’t you will not run as well on that big race day.
So here we are. Taper time. And I am in full taper tantrum mode. 3 miles? As if (or something less 90s if you’d like).
